New Delhi: In a shocking incident, an inebriated male passenger urinated on a female co-passenger in Air India’s business class on Nov 26, 2022.
Following the incident, Air India lodged a police complaint regarding the incident which took place when the flight was on its way from JFK (US) to Delhi.
Also, the airline constituted an internal committee in this incident and recommended to put the male passenger on ‘no-fly list’.
Currently, the matter is under a government committee and the decision is awaited, said an Air India official.
According to the reports, the man urinated when the cabin lights were dimmed after the meal.
She said her bag, shoes, and clothes were soaked in urine.
The woman also said that she was offered a set of pyjamas and slippers and was asked to return to her seat.
Despite several first-class seats being vacant she had to travel in a crew seat.
She also said the crew allowed the man to walk free after landing.
After the official statement was released by the airline, the hashtag #AirIndia started trending on social media and users started reacting and tweeting using the hashtag.
