Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Key accused Gangster Deepak Tinu escapes from police custody

Deepak Tinu was brought in private vehicle by police on remand from Kapurthala jail to Mansa’s CIA staff office when he escaped from custody early today.

New Delhi:  Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s aide Deepak Tinu,  one of the key accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case escaped from police custody in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday, said official sources.

Deepak Tinu was brought in private vehicle by police on remand from Kapurthala jail to Mansa’s CIA staff office when he escaped from custody early today.

He escaped from the police custody at a time when he was to be probed in connection with Siddhu Moosewala murder case.

On May 29, Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district.

He was shot multiple times when he was on his way to Jawahar Ke village in Mansa in a jeep with his friend and cousin.

After the killing of Sidhu Moosewala, Goldy Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder.

Accused Tinu is among the 24 accused who have been named in the charge-sheet in the murder case.
