New Delhi: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has been found to be Corona positive. It has been told that Priyanka Gandhi also came in contact with her, after which she has returned from Lucknow to Delhi.
Giving information in this regard, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said, “Sonia Gandhi has been found to be Corona positive. She has developed mild fever and some other symptoms. Necessary medical treatment is being given to her. Gandhi is currently in isolation”.

For the unversed, Sonia Gandhi was to appear in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 8 for questioning in the money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper.
Her son and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi also have to present in front of ED on Thursday, though he is not in the country at present, following which his attorney has requested the investigating agency that he should be given a date to appear on any day after June 5.
Significantly, in the last 24 hours, there has been a massive jump in new cases of corona in the country. According to government figures, 3,712 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours.
With this, there has been a 35.2 percent jump in new cases. Also, the number of active patients in the country has increased to 19,509.
According to the official data, five people have died across the country due to corona in the last 24 hours. Whereas in the last 24 hours, 12,44,298 people have been given vaccines to protect against corona, due to which the number of vaccinations in the country has reached 1,93,70,51,104.
