Supporter turned baiter Subramanian Swamy dropped from BJP National Executive

Swamy’s ouster from party’s top decision making body assumes significance as the former was critical of many of government’s policies. Earlier, a Modi supporter, he turned baiter and rebuked the Prime Minister as well as Centre for ‘lack of vision’ and many ‘flawed policies’.

New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in many states, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday reconstituted its National Executive. However, in the major organizational reshuffle, many key leaders like Subramanian Swamy, Maneka & Varun Gandhi have been dropped.

Varun Gandhi joined the political rivals in targeting the Yogi govt yesterday and shared a video of Lakhimpuri incident, demanding framing of charges and strong indictment of the accused minister’s son.

The BJP National Executive is the party’s apex body for discussing issues facing the government and shaping its priorities.

The National Executive has 80 members including PM Modi, LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal.

In the latest reshuffle, the party president JP Nadda has made room for 50 special invitees and 179 permanent invitees.
