Telangana: CM KCR announces notification for over 90,000 govt jobs

The state government has also increased the maximum age limit to 10 years for the applicants to apply for government jobs

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced the mega recruitment process to empower the unemployed youth in the State Assembly on Wednesday.

Rao announced that the State government will commence direct recruitment to fill up to 80,039 govt vacancies on an immediate basis.

He further said that the government is also has decided to regularize jobs of around 11,103 contract workers who happen to be already working in various departments across the state.

“The government has decided that it’s not right to have such a huge number of contract employees in the public sector. On humanitarian grounds, the government has decided the regularize these jobs”, he said.

The formalization of the worker employed on a contractual basis, and the fresh recruitment notification of multiple job vacancies hvae taken up the total recruitment to 91,142 posts in Telangana.

CM Rao also declared that the process of contract-based hiring will no more be there in the state of Telangana.

The financial entanglement to fill and regularize these jobs for the state government is expected to be Rs 7,300 crores per annum.

Apprising more on the notification, Rao also informed that 95 percent of jobs will be allotted for locals only and only 5 percent for the open category under the new zonal policy.

The government has also increased the maximum age limit to 10 years for the applicants to apply for government jobs.
