New Delhi: In a horrifying incident, a woman in Telangana set her pregnant daughter-in-law on fire. The lady was upset with the latter for having a love marriage with her son.
The incident is said to have taken place in Kamareddy district.
According to the reports, it is said that the victim was four months pregnant at the time and the foetus died in the incident.
Following the incident, the accused women, identified as A Kurati, and her son have been sent to judicial custody.
The hospital said that the victim sustained 50% injuries and is currently undergoing treatment in Nizamsagar.
The Nizamsagar police said that on July 17, the accused got into a quarrel with the victim (Daughter-in-law). The argument escalated and she poured petrol over her daughter-in-law before setting her on fire.
Meanwhile, the Nizamsagar police is currently investigating the matter.
