Tourist denied entry to Taj Mahal with Krishna idol; local Hindu body seeks action, warn of protest

Meanwhile, Govind Parashar, the national president of the Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat had said that strict action will be taken against those who have insulted the lord.

New Delhi: A tourist from Jaipur has alleged that he was barred from entering the Taj Mahal with the idol of the Lord krishna. The incident came to the limelight after activists of the local Hindu bodies said they will protest against the authorities if action is not taken against those who stopped the tourist.

Following this, an official from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Agra circle, said that they will enquire about the matter with the CISF officials.

The tourist identified as Gautam, told reporters that the official cited security reasons for stopping him from entering Taj Mahal with the idol.

According to the reports, the tourist was reportedly stopped at Taj Mahal’s main entrance- Western Gate.

Gautam further said, that Laddu Gopal is like a family member and he carries him along wherever he goes. He said he carried him along when he visited Mathura and Vrindavan with the Lord. But he was not allowed here.

Also, Conservation Assistant (CA) at Taj Mahal, Prince Vajpayee, said that has the video in this regard. But he has no information whether the incident was on Monday or some other day.

He said an enquiry will be done about the incident from the CISF.
