New Delhi: The advocate of the prime suspect in the Tunisha Sharma case, Sheezan Khan, came out to the press and alleged that Tunisha committed suicide after facing mental harassment from her mother and uncles. The case has taken a new turn after the statement as the defendant party is seeing Tunisha’s family as the suspects.
Talking to the media, Sheezan’s lawyer said that Tunisha’s ‘so-called uncle’ Pawan Sharma was her former manager and was fired four years ago as he used to interfere and behave harshly with her. He said that Tunisha and her uncle from Chandigarh, Sanjeev Kaushal had ‘terrible’ relations. He alleged that Sanjeev and Tunisha’s mother, Vanita controlled Tunisha’s finances and she often had to plead for her own money in front of her mother.

Linking the allegations to her mental health, Sheezan’s lawyer said that Tunisha used to panic upon hearing Sanjeev Kaushal’s name. He added that under the instigation of Sanjeev Kaushal, her mother broke her phone and tried to strangulate her.
Tunisha committed suicide on the sets of a TV show on December 24 and her former boyfriend and co-star Sheezan Khan has been under police custody as a suspect. Recently, Sheezan’s lawyer opened up about his mental health after his arrest. He argued that an inmate committed suicide at Taloja jail and the environment is not good for Sheezan.
Tunisha’s mother has alleged that Sheezan broke up with her, which led to her mental health issues and ultimately the suicide.
While there are allegations from both sides, it should be noted that the Police are investigating the case and interrogating Sheezan for details.
