TV anchor Nagma Sheikh fired for posting venomous remark on ‘Baba’

New Delhi: The court-mandated survey of Gyanvapi mosque & its findings have opened floodgates of outburst by some radicals. As the Hindu petitioners secured the reservoir in the complex where Shivling was found, some enraged rather radical members of the community are using filthy & insulting remarks to sully the beliefs of other faith.

In latest incident, Nagma Sheikh, a news anchor of News1India was today sacked for making disparaging remarks on the Shivling.

Nagma Sheikh took to Twitter and posted a venomous remark against the holy structure, creating a wave of anger & furore. Her remarks, filled with disgust & hatred left the netizens enraged who called out the News Anchor for inciting communal fire.

The channel News1India fired her soon after the matter came to its notice and said that it was her personal view and in no way represented channel’s views.

Anchor’s hateful post & how it was flagged

Deepak Sharma, a freelance journalist, took note of Nagma Sheikh’s offensive post and tagged UP Police & DGP, demanding penal action against her.

Hindutva outfits are demanding strong action against her for highly vitriolic remarks against Baba (represents Lord Shiva).

Lot many users are demanding strong action against the anchor for hatemongering.

On Tuesday, when the survey team came out of the mosque premises after the videography survey, the Hindu side celebrated & rejoiced over finding of Baba inside the complex.

‘Baba Mil Gaye’ was the popular slogan, following which Har Har Mahadev slogans were also raised. The Muslim petitioners opposed these claims but Court took cognizance of the matter and restricted the reservoir where Baba was found.

Anchor passes buck, blames brother for post

As the news anchor found herself in the crosshairs of netizens, she started shifting blame. She said that it was her younger brother who posted this tweet.

She is a resident of Lucknow and has graduated from Muslim Girls Degree college. Prior to News1India, she has worked in channels like APN News, Hindi Khabar & K News.
