New Delhi: Ever since BharatPe Ashneer Grover resigned from his post as Co-founder and director of the Indian financial technology company, BharatPe, meme makers have flooded Twitter with memes, featuring the Grover as a Shark Tank judge. Meme lovers are also sharing the memes and retweeting them.
Notably, Shark Tank is a business reality television series that gives budding entrepreneurs a chance to secure such business deals that can make them millionaires. The decision to remove Grover from the posts was taken in a board meeting of BharatPe. It was held on March 1.
The company’s statement after Grover’s resignation stated, ”The Grover family and their relatives engaged in extensive misappropriation of company funds, including, but not limited to, creating fake vendors through which they siphoned money away from the company’s account and grossly abused company expense accounts in order to enrich themselves and fund their lavish lifestyles.”
On the other BharatPe Co-founder said, ”Today I am being vilified and treated in the most disgraceful manner. You treat us Founders as slaves — pushing us to build multi-billion-dollar business and cutting us down at will.”
Ashneer Grover’s resignation was the second biggest development of the company. Earlier, the company also removed his wife Madhuri Jain Grover as a co-founder of the company due to alleged financial irregularities.
She reportedly used the company’s fund for personal expenses. It is alleged that she used the company’s money for beauty treatments, buying electronic items. Moreover, she also used the money for her personal trip to the US and Dubai.
