
New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the team of the controversial film “The Kerala Story” on Wednesday, a day after he announced to make the controversial film tax-free in the state.
The team of “The Kerala Story” met him in Lucknow on Wednesday.
Producer Vipul Shah, director Sudipto Sen and lead actress Adah Sharma met and discussed the movie with UP CM Yogi Adityanath and also requested him to watch it, read the official statement.

“The Kerala Story” film shows the conversion young Hindu girls in Kerala and how they are recruited by the terror group Islamic State (IS).
The film, which was released on May 5, resulted to strong reactions from the opposition parties accusing the makers of spreading hate.
During the interaction, the Kerala story team also interacted with the chief minister. The team also praised UP Government’s effort to curb ‘love jihad’ and forced religious conversion in the state under the Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Ordinance, 2020.

According to reports, Yogi Adityanath and other misnisters of his cabinet are likely to watch a special screening of the film at the Lok Bhawan on Friday.
