Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while addressing the Bhojpuri society on the occasion of Chhath Puja expressed that there is great joy in celebrating Chhath Puja with everyone. He visited the Laxman Mela ground on Sunday evening and participated in the Chhath Puja with the Bhojpuri community.

During this, the Chief Minister said, “Lok aastha ke maha parv chhath ke aap sab ke bahut bahut badhayi aur shubhkamna” (Many congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the occasion of Chhath, the great festival of public faith).”

He added: “Chhath maiyya ki kirpa aap sab pe banal rahe, sabkar jeevan khushal rahe, aap sabke jeevan me umang aur utsah banal rahe, parivar kathin kathin vrat rakhe vali mata aur bahin ke humre tarah se vishesh mangalkamna (May the blessings of Chhathi Maiya be upon you all, may everyone’s life be prosperous, filled with joy and enthusiasm. Special greetings from us to the mothers and sisters observing the challenging fast for their families).”

During this event, National President of All India Bhojpuri Samaj Prabhunath Rai honored the Chief Minister with a flower bouquet, ‘angvastra,’ and a momento.

Yogi further said that our country is a land of faith. This faith connects the entire India from north to south, east to west, weaving it into the thread of unity. He mentioned that in medieval times, foreign invaders damaged religious places, but our faith has preserved our traditions and heritage. Many countries in the world have focused on their physical development but have forgotten their traditions and heritage. Today, they are facing a crisis of existence.

He mentioned that the outcome of the public faith is evident in the fact that for 500 years, there were movements and struggles for the Ram Janmabhoomi. Eventually, victory was achieved, and in January, the program for the construction of the grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya is nearing completion, with the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Chhath is a festival to express gratitude towards nature and God because during this festival, all the fasting women offer arghya (water offering) to the sun and also make offerings of milk in the rivers”, CM Yogi said.

He mentioned that water is a symbol of our life, and it is our duty to keep this water pure and clean. Therefore, after the event, it becomes the responsibility of the organizers to engage in cleanliness programs for the ghats and rivers with the help administration.

He emphasized that we should not forget that water is synonymous with life. The more effort we put into maintaining the purity and beauty of water and nature, the better it will be for our human life. We should continue to be connected with all these programs consistently.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Mayor Sushma Kharakwal, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad, MLA Yogesh Shukla, BJP leader Arpana Yadav, and others were present at the program.
