UP Elections 2022: Yogi-led BJP to return to power, BSP seen losing vote share, says Survey

According to Survey projections, BJP is expected to increase its vote share by 0.4% while the SP’s vote share is likely to mark a 6.6% rise. Mayawati’s BSP is projected to get 3rd spot but its vote share is likely to fall by -6.5% as compared to last elections.

New Delhi: With Uttar Pradesh heading for Assembly Elections early next year, the political temperature has already reached a feverish pitch. As per Opinion Poll by ABP-CVoter, Yogi govt is set to return to power in the state with a clear mandate, though number of seats may dwindle in comparison to previous polls.

According to the ABP-CVoter Survey, BJP is set to repeat its stupendous performance in the upcoming assembly polls, scheduled for early next year. Samajwadi Party (SP) is seen edging up in the fight while Mayawati’s BSP is expected to emerge as the biggest loser.

Assembly Seat Projections

With vote share translated into seats, the BJP will again become the largest party with winning maximum seats, however the party is likely to win about 263 seats, as compared to 325 in 2017 assembly elections.

Akhilesh Yadav-led SP is seen making gain of 65 seats while BSP is projected to win 14 seats. Congress numbers are even less than Others as it is projected to fetch just 5 seats in 403 member UP Assembly.

Soaring political temperature in UP


Yogi Adityanath-led BJP govt has been giving big impetus on farmers welfare as well as developmental projects including Greater Noida International Airport. Its Corona control and vaccination programme has already won accolades, domestically as well as internationally.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has gone ballistic and his party has been latching on all issue to train guns at Yogi govt while Mayawati is making a fresh pitch to woo the electorate including Brahmin community.
