New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a bride was shot dead last night in Mubarikpur village of Naujheel, Mathura. It is said that the bride was shot by a young man in unrequited love.
According to the reports, the bride was shot near the eyes and she was dead on the spot. The incident is said to have taken place at 1.30am.
The accused has been identified as Aneesh, who had shot her dead with a country made pistol.
The father of the deceased girl said that the incident took place after ‘Jai Mala’, when his daughter had gone to the room and it was then that an unknown person came and shot her.
The deceased has been identified as Kajal, daughter of Khubiram, a resident of village Mubarakpur. Kajal was set to tie the knot with the youth of Noida.

The ‘barat’ had arrived on Thursday. It is also being said that the accused had earlier pelted stones at the time of Varmala. The man who shot the bride is said to be a resident of the village itself.

After the incident, the accused is absconding. Police have registered a case and have started looking for him.
Meanwhile, SP (Rural) Shrish Chandra said, “We are probing the matter.”
The police had said that the accused had been in relationship with the victim and was irked by her wedding with another man.
