UPSC toppers meet: Took selfies in meeting with Union Minister Jitendra Singh

In Delhi, Union Minister Jitendra Singh met and felicitated the top 20 candidates of the civil service examination 2021 on Tuesday.

New Delhi: In Delhi, Union Minister Jitendra Singh met and felicitated the top 20 candidates of the civil service examination 2021 on Tuesday. Meanwhile, he also talked to the top 20 rankers to know about their journey before they cracked the prestigious exam.

After the meeting with candidates, the minister said, ”Onus will be on them to become active partners in realising Prime Minister Narendra Mod’s vision of ‘New India’ that leads the rest of the world.”

A special was recorded in the camera when Shruti Sharma, Ankita Agarwal, and Gamini Singla, the top 3 candidates of the exam, were spotted taking selfies at the event.

After the meeting, the minister also shared a video of the three toppers on Twitter.

”VIDEO: Listen to Shruti, Ankita, and Gamini, the first 3 All India toppers in Civil Services Exam, sharing their experience after the felicitation ceremony at the Ministry of Personnel in North Block, New Delhi,” wrote Singh.

In the civil services exams 2021, as many as 685 passed out the exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) last month.

The examination is organised to select officers for the post of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS),  Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others. Notably, the exams are conducted every year in three stages: Preliminary, main, and interview.

This written or main part of the examination was conducted in January 2022 while interviews were taken in April and May.
