New Delhi: Kerela Police, on Friday, arrested a middle-aged woman from the state's southern district for mercilessly assaulting her 80-year-old mother-in-law. In the video, the 37-year-old accused woman, identified as Manju Thomas, can be seen rushing into the living room of her house in which her mother-in-law and two children were present. She is then seen yelling at the old lady, ordering her to go outside the room. However, when the old woman refused to get up from her bed and leave the room, infuriated Manju forcefully pushed her from the back, causing the old woman to fall to the ground. The accused doesn't just stop there and continues to shout at her mother-in-law until she gets up from the floor and exits the room. She then makes an objectionable gesture towards the unidentified person who was filming her during the incident. He further said that Manju, who was employed as a teacher in Chavara's private school, was assaulting the old woman for quite a while.
