Video of Car driver running over sleeping stray dog in Ghaziabad goes viral, leaves netizens furious

New Delhi: In yet another instance of Animal cruelty, a CCTV camera captured a man running over a sleeping street dog with his car in UP’s Ghaziabad.

While the exact date & time of the incident showcased in the horrifying video aren’t confirmed, it shows the accused crushing the animal by with his blue WagonR before zooming past the scene and leaving the injured animal to suffer in misery.

The video of the incident, shared by X user Lavely Bakshi from his account on Tuesday, opens with a dog sleeping on the roadside with a car driver reversing his hatchback in the background.

Moments later, it sees the man flooring his car in the direction of the stray animal & allegedly crushing it under the vehicle’s wheels on purpose.

As the disturbing clip of the inhumane act of the car driver garnered significant attention on the internet, it triggered a massive uproar amongst the netizens who fumed in anger at the accused in the comment box.

While some urged the authorities to award strict punishment to the guy for his cruelty, others sided with him highlighting that he might not have run over the animal on purpose.

“Sympathy with dog. But as the visible view for the car driver, there are more chances that he was not able to see Dog. It’s a left turn. There is a pole and the footpath is just adjacent to the dog.” wrote one user.

A third comment read, “This is inhuman Please take action against the Culprit.” A third user wrote, “Gud … !!! At last, people have to take matters into their own hands. Fed up with street Dogs.
