Vinesh, complainants ready to undergo Narco test: Vinesh Phogat replies to Brij Bhushan Singh

Replying to his statement, CWG gold medallist Vinesh Phogat accepted and said that she is ready to take the narco test.

New Delhi: Amid wrestlers’ protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief, and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said he is ready to undergo a polygraph test if wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia also undergo the same. Replying to his statement, CWG gold medallist Vinesh Phogat accepted and said that she is ready to take the narco test.

Vinesh said that she and all the girls who are the complainants against Brij Bhushan are ready to take the test. The wrestlers asked that the polygraph test should be done live so that the entire country watches and knows about the WFI chief’s ‘cruelty to the daughters’.

Earlier, as the demand for a lie detector test emerged in the case, Brij Bhushan Singh took to Twitter and wrote that he is ready for a narco test, polygraph test, or lie detector test if the same is conducted for Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia.

The wrestlers have leveled allegations of sexual harassment over the WFI chief and are protesting for his arrest. Brij Bhushan Singh has been denying the claims and has issued a number of statements alleging political motives behind the protests.

May 22 marks the 28th day of their protest at Jantar Mantar as a number of wrestlers, including Indian star grapplers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Mallik, and Vinesh Phogat spend days and nights on the streets. They have alleged sexual harassment of seven athletes including a minor.

The protestors earlier demanded the registration of an FIR against Brij Bhushan and two separate FIRs were registered on April 28 as the Supreme Court directed Delhi Police to file FIRs and provide adequate protection to the minor.
