New Delhi: A disturbing incident unfolded at the Kashi toll Plaza on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway after a man ran over a lady worker with his car before speeding away from the scene on Tuesday. A CCTV video of the same is now going viral on the internet, triggering mixed responses from the netizens.

The viral footage opens with the accused car driver seemingly having an argument with the female toll employee standing right in front of his vehicle.
However, moments later, he puts the car into drive and hits the gas, causing the car to accelerate and smash against the woman.
This makes her get thrown away on the vehicle’s bonnet before she eventually slides aside and falls to the ground a few meters away. Amidst this, the accused continues to drive the car and speedingly flees from the scene in the blink of an eye.
More About the incident
Later, while speaking about the matter, Kashi toll plaza manager Anil Sharma told ANI that the incident occurred in the Partapur Area where a man coming from Delhi started fighting with the toll officers after being asked to pay the toll. As the argument escalated, he hit a lady staff with his vehicle and left her with major injuries.
Sharma further urged authorities to take appropriate action and ensure that such incidents don’t happen in the future. Meanwhile, the woman is currently admitted to a hospital where she is receiving treatment for her injuries.
Police have also registered an FIR against the culprit and are now actively investigating the case to identify and nab him. They are also taking the help of toll plazas’ CCTV camera footage to find his whereabouts and trace his vehicle.
