The duo is seen jumping off the Goram Ghat bridge to avoid getting hit by an approaching train.

New Delhi: In order to escape from an incoming train, a Jaipur couple ended up throwing themselves off the bridge & into the gorge in Rajasthan’s Pali district.

The reckless act of the duo left both of them critically injured & a video of the same is now doing rounds on the internet. In the viral clip, the duo is seen jumping off the Goram Ghat bridge to avoid getting hit by an approaching train.

The video opens with a train making its way toward the Goram Ghat bridge where a few individuals are standing casually for a photoshoot. It then sees two of them, 20-year-old Jahnvi & 22-year-old Rahul Mewada, panicking after spotting the locomotive moving towards them.

Moments later, the couple, fearing the train inching towards them, are spotted foolishly jumping into 90 feet 90-foot-deep ravine, leaving the rest of the bystanders screaming in shock and disbelief.

Notably, the footage also shows Mewda’s brother-in-law at the incident scene attempting to avoid the train by bolting away from it.

Injured Couple Hospitalised

Meanwhile, both Rahul and Jhanvi sustained multiple serious injuries after jumping down from the bridge and are currently receiving treatment for the same in Hospital.

While Rahul is getting treated for spine-related injuries in a Jodhpur hospital, his wife Jhanvi is admitted at Bangar Hospital where she is receiving treatment for a leg fracture.

With the footage of the duo’s reckless act circulating on the internet, Netizens are also taking to the comment section &  reacting to the incident.

While some are blaming the couple for their pathetic decision-making skills, others are urging authorities to take action against them for breaking the law by making reels on an active rail track.

“I bet they did it for a TikTok video!” wrote one user.”Are they dead” Questioned another. A third comment read, “Train used DISC break. Agar udar he rukh jaate toh bacch gaye hote.”
