WATCH: Indore residents run clothes donation drive for Ranveer Singh

A carboard box with a picture of ‘clothless’ Ranveer Singh has been set up for people to donate clothes for the latter to cover himself up

New Delhi: RamLeela actor Ranveer Singh broke the internet last week with his butt naked pics for a photoshoot with PAPER magazine. Not only the internet shower the latter with fire emojis, but known personalities from politicians to celebrities also came to the fore to praise Singh’s confidence.

Bengali actress and TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty even called out the societal terms claiming that people appreciating Ranveer for his courage to go nude on camera would have varied in their opinions if it was a woman stripping for a magazine shoot.

“Internet broke with Ranveer Singh’s latest photoshoot and comments were (fire emojis) mostly. Just wondering if the appreciation would have been the same if she was a woman. Or would you have burned her house down, taken up morchas, given her a death threat and s*** shamed her”, she wrote in a recent tweet.

However, it seems that the act of a man stripping on camera has not gone well with many either, and protest has began across states regarding the same. Now, a video clip is going viral on social media that shows residents of Indore city organising a ‘cloth donation drive’ for the actor, asking him to cover up.

In the viral clip, a carboard box with a picture of ‘naked’ Ranveer Singh has been set up for people to donate clothes for the latter to cover himself up.

The text along Singh’s pic reads, “Mere swacchh Indore ne thana hai, desh se maansik kachra bhi hatana hai (my clean city has vowed to clean up mental waste from the country as well)”.
