New Delhi: An extremely distressing clip of a bunch of young girls brutally hammering a school-going minor girl lately went viral on social media.
The viral video allegedly shot in Versova’s Yari Road, features at least half a dozen girls unleashing their dark side on the helpless child by bullying, beating, abusing, and outrageously humiliating her in broad daylight.

Shared on X (previously Twitter) by activist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, the footage opens with a few girls, seemingly in their late teens, mercilessly assaulting a schoolgirl in the presence of their male friends. It then shows the aggressor group shamelessly abusing their victim’s mother before pulling her hair and repeatedly striking her with hard blows all over her body.
Moments later, as the poor girl tries to run away from the area by reaching out to her friend, the girl gang once again catches her in their clutches and this time, they even try to throw her into a nearby puddle filled with dirty water.
Notably, the guys accompanying the girl group also witness the assault silently while making just a few futile attempts to save the child from the wrath of their friends. Likewise, a few passersby also see the brutal assault unfolding but no one shows enough courage to intervene and stop the fight.
Eventually, the torture comes to an end with the male friends of the girl gang finally stepping in and helping the schoolgirl run away from the area. The video finally concludes with one girl from the attacker group angrily calling the poor girl to come back to her once again.

Deepika, who shared the disturbing clip of the assault from her social media handle today August 25, 2024, claimed that the incident reportedly took place near a school located around Yari Road in Mumbai. In her post, the activist also tagged Mumbai Police’s official X handle in order to draw the concerned authorities’ attention to the matter.
However, as the exact time and date of the incident are still unknown, there’s no confirmation if any action was taken by the authorities against the accused girl group.
