New Delhi: A 25-year-old woman’s reckless act of sitting on the bonnet of a moving SUV car to film a social media reel has landed her in trouble with the law. The incident, captured on video and shared widely on social media platforms, went viral, catching the attention of Punjab Police.

The hair-raising incident took place on the busy Jalandhar-Jammu national highway near Dasuya. In the viral video, the woman can be seen nonchalantly perched on the bonnet of the moving SUV, seemingly undeterred by the grave danger she was putting herself in.

Acting swiftly upon the viral video, the Hoshiarpur Police sprang into action to identify the vehicle and its owner. Utilizing the vehicle’s registration number, the police successfully tracked down the owner of the SUV and confiscated the vehicle in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act.

Station House Officer Balwinder Singh of Dasuya elaborated on the police’s actions, stating that they promptly intervened to address the violation of traffic rules captured in the video. The Hoshiarpur Police shared the incident’s details on their official Twitter handle, cautioning against such dangerous stunts in the future.

In the tweeted message, the Hoshiarpur Police highlighted their swift response to the information received via social media about the traffic rules violation involving the woman sitting on the bonnet of a Thar vehicle in Dasuya. The police reiterated their commitment to maintaining road safety and warned against engaging in similar risky behavior.
