New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma slammed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for allegedly trying to defame India with his comments in London speech.

While speaking at the ‘Vijay Sankalp’ rally at Kanakagiri in poll-bound Karnataka, Assam CM said, we don’t need Babri Masjid anymore, we want Ram Janmabhoomi. Rahul Gandhi tried defaming India in London. He also said that Rahul Gandhi will never be able to become PM until PM Modi is there.

Sarma’s statement comes days after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “democracy under attack” remarks in the UK following which several Union Ministers demanded an apology by him.

He also claimed that Rahul Gandhi tries defaming India on foreign soil while PM Modi praises his motherland wherever and whenever he goes.

Himanta Biswa Sarma also urged the voters of Karnataka to vote for the BJP in the upcoming assembly election. He also said that under the leadership of PM Modi, India will become a ‘Visva Guru’.
