New Delhi: Two days after the brutal murder of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth worker in Karnataka, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was forced to contemplate the implementation of the ‘Yogi (Adityanath) model’ of Uttar Pradesh in his state to maintain law and order.
He said, “For the situation in UP, Yogi is the correct chief minister. There are many ways to control Karnataka. If required, we can bring the Yogi Model government in Karnataka as well.”
This statement comes two days after the brutal murder of the 32-year-old Praveen Nettur. He was hacked to death by bike-borne assailants in Dakshina Kannada’s Bellare, about 350 km from Bengaluru.

He said this when several BJP workers and legislators have been demanding strict action, such as bulldozing the houses of people who create social unrest and stir communal tensions.
Bommai government faced backlash after the murder of Praveen Nettur.
Also on Wednesday, several members and office bearers of BJP Yuva Morcha had resigned in protest.
On Thursday (July 28), the Basavaraj Bommai’s government completed one year at office.
What is ‘bulldozer model’?
The ‘bulldozer model’ of UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath was heavily criticised by opposition parties and several activists for allegedly being a tool to target minorities, especially people of the Muslims community.
In other word, ‘UP model’ means the strong measures that was taken by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to control anti-national activities in Uttar Pradesh, including the use of bulldozers against miscreants and mafia.
