The video has gone viral on social media and is being liked and commented upon by thousands of netizens.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Germany to participate in the G7 Summit and has a packed schedule where he is expected to meet various world leaders. The G7 Summit is being hosted by Germany this year, in its capacity as the chair of the group, comprising of world’s 7 richest nations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed by the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Monday but what has caught everyone’s attention is the gesture of US President towards PM Modi.

US President Joe Biden is seen walking up to PM Modi while the world leaders assembled for a photo-op before the Summit. The gesture may be small but has become a big talking point because of the US President ‘cosying up’ to Indian PM. Usually, it has been the other way round. From UK to Europe to Asian nations, representatives of all nations make an extra effort to get closer to US President but here the latter himself walking to PM Modi to greet him has left netizens rejoicing over India’s growing stature.

The video has gone viral on social media and is being liked and commented upon by thousands of netizens.

Moments ago, the Prime Minister also shared a photo of world leaders, tweeting, “At the G-7 Summit with world leaders.”

During the Summit, the Prime Minister is set to discuss various global issues, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine, food security and counter-terrorism. PM Modi will exchange views with the leaders of the bloc and its partners on issues such as energy, food security, counter-terrorism, environment and democracy.

After G7 Summit in Germany, PM Modi will travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on June 28 to pay homage to the demise of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayad Al Nahyan, its former president. Sheikh Khalifa passed away on May 13 after prolonged illness.
