New Delhi: Haryana IAS officer Ashok Khemk was transferred for the 55th time in his 30-year-long career. Also, several other Haryana Civil Service officers were transferred with immediate effect.
Who is Ashok Khemka?
According to the official statement, Ashok Khemka, Additional Chief Secretary in the Science and Technology Department, has now been posted as the Additional Chief Secretary, Archives Department.
However, the statement released by the Haryana government on Monday did not mention any specific reason for the transfers.
Reports said that his transfer comes days after he had written to the Haryana Chief Secretary Sarvesh Kaushal, where he indicated that he didn’t have enough work after the Science and Technology Department merged into the Higher Education Department.
This is not the first time that IAS Officer Ashok Khemka’s transfer has made headlines. His career has always been in controversies and he is a well-known officer for frequent transfers. He was last posted in October 2021.
