
New Delhi: Baljit Kaur, a 30-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday in Kurukshetra by Punjab police in a joint operation with Haryana police on charges of harbouring fugitive and Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh.
According to the CCTV footage, the investigating agencies found that Amritpal Singh and his close aide Pappalpreet Singh reached Kaur’s under-construction house on the night of March 19 and stayed there.
The investigating agencies said that she knew Pappalpreet for over two years.

Who is Baljit Kaur?
Baljit Kaur is an MBA from Hisar.
The investigating agencies found that she was pursuing a course in “radical literature” through her phone and social media handles.
It was also found that she has done some videos on historical gurdwaras which were shared by Papalpreet on his social media platforms.
She informed the investigating agency that when Papalpreet and Amritpal reached her house they had guns.
According to sources, Baljit Kaur’s brother Harvinder, who works in the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s Office at Shahbad had first informed the police about Amritpal’s arrival on Wednesday.
Also, Amritpal and Papalpreet used Baljit’s mobile phone to make a few calls.
She also disclosed that she heard about their plans to escape to Uttarakhand.
Arrested from Shahbaad, Baljit Kaur informed the investigating agencies that Amritpal had changed his attire, he wore a turban and fixed his moustache.
