New Delhi: The Ludhiana Police arrested Jasneet Kaur alias Rajbir Kaur- an Instagram influencer on charges of blackmailing and extortion.
She was arrested for seeking extortion money from local businessman Gurbir Singh in a honey trap case in Ludhiana.
Along with Kaur, a Youth Congress leader, Lucky Sandhu from Sahnewal was also arrested on Monday.
Kaur blackmailed and made an extortion calls to the complainant Gurbir. Gurbir’s father was a Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) councilor after which a complaint was lodged and an FIR was filed againt Jasneet and her two unidentified accomplices by the Model Town Police on Sunday.
Who is Jasneet Kaur alias Rajbir Kaur?
Jasneet is an Instgram influencer.
She enjoys more than two lakh followers on Instagram and has multiple accounts on several social media platform including on Telegram.
In September 2022, Kaur had sought 2 crore extortion from Gurbir by threatening to leak their chats.
She used her social media platforms to pose semi nude pictures and videos to attrack men basically rich men.
After finding her target on Instgram, she would chat with them and record their chants before demanding money.
She would also threatened her targets with the help of gangsters.
Earlier in 2018, Kaur, was arrested on similar charges in Mohali.
Kaur also has a criminal history.
