Congress leader Rajkumar Raju has been expelled from the party after he fdemanded Bharat Ratna Award for gangster-turned politician Atiq Ahmed.
He had said that Atiq must be awarded Bharat Ratna and he also blamed the UP Government which is led by Yogi Adityanath for Atiq’s death.
Following this, he was expelled from the Congress Party for a period of six years.
Who is Rajkumar Raju?
Congress leader Rajkumar Raju contested from Prayagraj in the in UP local body polls. Congress soon took action against Rajkumar and expelled him the Party for next six years for demanding Bharat Ratna Award for deceased gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed.
According to the claims made by Pradeep Mishra Anshuman, it is said that Rajju was running for corporator in the Azad Nagar constituency in South Malaka on the Congress ticket.
