New Delhi: A young man was sent to five-day police custody for interrogation for killing his his live-in partner and stuffing her body into a fridge in southwest Delhi.
Who is Sahil Gehlot?
Sahil Gehlot, a 24-year-old man, a resident of Mitraon village in southwest Delhi, who runs a dhaba in Delhi is accused of murdering his girlfriend, stuffing her body in a refrigerator and marrying another woman on the same day.
The incident came to light on February 14, after police recovered the body of the 23-year-old woman Nikki Yadav after Sahil Gehlot was questioned.
According to reports, Nikki and Sahil were in a relationship with each other for the past few years and the victim wanted to marry the accused, said police.
Police said that when Nikki Yadav confronted Sahil about his marriage with another woman, he killed her using a cable in his car. After killing her Sahil kept her body in a refrigerator at his dhaba.

The last rites of Nikki Yadav were held in her native on Wednesday evening in Haryana’s Jhajjar. The funeral pyre of Nikki Yadav was lit up by her father and brother.

Her body was bought from Delhi to her village Kheri Khumar after the post-mortem was done at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
The Post-mortem reports of Nikki Yadav showed that she died because of suffocation. The reports showed marks on her neck and no other injury marks were found on the body.
Following the incident, Nikki Yadav’s family demanded the death penalty for the accused Sahil Gehlot from the government.
