New Delhi: Late Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen is on a run and is a prime accused in connection to Umesh Pal murder case. The Uttar Padesh Police had earlier annonced to double the reward on Shaista Parveen, who is on the run.
She is an active member in the crime family.
Earlier on Sunday, there were reports that she may surrender days after her son who was also a prime accused in Umesh Pal murder case was killed in an encounter with the UP Police in Jhansi.
And a day after Asad was burried, her husband gangster turned politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf was shot dead by three shooters on late Saturday night.
Who is Shaista Praveen?
Shaista Parveen is also one of the prime accused in the Umesh Pal murder case.
Recently she had submitted a bail application and stated that she had been falsely implicated in the Umesh Pal Murder case in the court.
UP Police has announce a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh on Shaista Parveen .
She joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) which is led by former UP Chief Minister Mayawati.
Atiq Ahmed and his whole family came under the radar after the murder of Umesh Pal.
Atiq Ahmed was convicted on March 28 by an MP-MLA court, and was sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment in connection with Umesh Pal abduction and murder case.
Over 100 cases were filed against Atiq Ahmed over the last 43 years.
Hoever, Atiq Ahmed and his brother were shot dead on April 15 while they while being taken for a medical examination in Prayagraj.
