Coming from Baglung district of Nepal, the singer lived in Kathmandu and was on her way to grace an event in Pokhara for the Nepalese festival of Maghe Sankranti. She shared the same on her Facebook informing her fans of her visit. Nira’s last Facebook post was also wishing all her fans the best on the auspicious occasion of Maghe Sankranti. Extending her love to all living in the country and abroad.

An unfortunate and grave loss to the Nepalese Music Industry, Nira’s death like all 68 passengers on board the flight is a painful reality check on the fragility of life. Despite it being a deeply painful time for all her loved ones, it has to be said that Nira’s honeyed voice will immortally echo in the hearts of her fans.
