Yogi Adityanath scripts history as he takes oath as Uttar Pradesh CM for second term

Yogi Adityanath takes oath as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister today.

New Delhi: Yogi Adityanath today (March 25) scripted history after taking oath as the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister for the second term in office after completing five-year term.

Earlier,  none of his predecessors have achieved it.

He took oath as UP CM in a grand ceremony at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium.

In 2022 Assembly elections, the BJP retained power in Uttar Pradesh by winning 255 out of 403 constituencies, securing a 41.29 per cent vote share.

In the last five years, Yogi Adityanath gave a strong government by improving the law and order situation in the state emerging a strong poll theme for BJP during electioneering for the assembly polls.

Yogi Adiyanath, was a surprise choice when Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)  won the 2017 assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh. A monk-politician, a five-time Lok Sabha MP, was picked for the key role in the electorally crucial state by the BJP leadership and has strived to live up to expectations from him.

The BJP has also set other records with its successive victory in Uttar Pradesh. This is for the first time that BJP has returned to power in successive polls after 37 years.

It is expected that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will carry on the momentum of the Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) electoral victory to fulfil the poll promises and further push state’s development.
