Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has created a big platform for the employment of the state’s youths in the textile sector. As many as five lakh youths in Uttar Pradesh will get employment opportunities in the textile sector in the coming times.
In the textiles sector, the state government received 1092 proposals through the Global Investors Summit, and MoUs were signed regarding the investment of Rs 54710 crores in Uttar Pradesh.
As soon as the projects get off the ground, more than two lakh youths will benefit from it in their own villages. Aditya Birla Group has also expressed interest in investing in this area.
It is worth mentioning that just a day ago, the Modi government at the center approved the setting up of a textile park in Lucknow. It is anticipated that 3 lakh new job opportunities will result from this. With this, the Central and State Governments’ combined efforts in the textile industry will result in the creation of up to 5 lakh new jobs in UP.
The Global Investors Summit (GIS) received 1092 proposals in the textiles sector. With an investment of Rs 54710 crores, more than 2.46 lakh youth from all 75 districts will get employment in this sector. This will lead to a large increase in employment opportunities in the spinning, weaving, clothing industry, and packaging.
Textile industry ranks among the top 10 in investment
An investment-related top-20 list was issued. The textiles sector is also among the top 10, along with higher education, electronics manufacturing, industrial parks, logistics, real estate, and tourism. Leading textile companies like the Aditya Birla Group are eager to invest in UP in this sector. UP is attracting visitors from all over the world with its infrastructure, including its airport, roads, and law and order.
UP offers the largest market with a population of 25 crore
With 25 crore people living in one state, UP offers investors a sizable market. While having such a sizable market in one location helps entrepreneurs do more business, it also reduces the cost of transportation and labour. For investors, this is going to be very helpful. Center approves Textiles Park in Lucknow, three lakh new jobs will be created
The Central Government approved the Textiles Park in Lucknow. The Yogi government had sent the blueprint of the park to the Center. The textile park, which will come up on 1,000 acres, is likely to generate nearly 1 lakh direct jobs and indirect employment for 2 lakh people. Rs 1200 crore will be spent on the project.
