Yogi govt’s Mission Uttam Pradesh to gain momentum with Independence Day celebrations

Lucknow: The Yogi government is all set to organize programmes on a large scale on the occasion of Independence Day, giving its Mission Uttam Pradesh momentum. With the ongoing nationwide celebration of the Independence Day Amrit Mahotsav, Uttar Pradesh is gearing up to actively participate by hosting the central government’s expansive ‘Meri Mati, Mera Desh’ and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiatives.

As per Chief Minister Yogi’s vision, the Independence Day programs are set to commence from 9th August. In the initial phase, the ‘Panch Prana’ initiative will be employed to imbue the entire state with a renewed sense of patriotism and independence.

The magnitude of this event can be gauged by the extensive reach it aims to achieve. With participation spanning across villages, gram panchayats, municipal bodies, blocks, cantonments, councils, government offices, schools, colleges, corporations, and industrial and commercial establishments throughout the state, the scale of the event is truly vast.

During this event, individuals will take an oath pertaining to ‘Panch Prana’ and experience a profound sense of pride in the nation’s journey towards independence. This oath-taking will also symbolize their unwavering dedication to the advancement of both the country and the state. With the goal of ensuring the program’s success, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra has issued comprehensive instructions to all government departments across different levels.

Amrit Kaal’s ‘Panch Prana’ will change the country’s image

These directives are intended to foster seamless coordination and efficient execution of the initiative. Furthermore, all government departments have received instructions to upload pertinent selfies on the official Government of India website, merimaatimeradesh.gov.in. This step aims to encourage active participation and engagement in the initiative. The detailed action plan and instructions have already been given by the Chief Secretary regarding how this event is to be held. The implementation of the ‘Panch Prana’ during the Amrit Kaal is poised to transform the landscape of the nation. In accordance with the Central Government’s ‘Panch Pran’ concept, a total of five key objectives have been established as vital life forces. The ‘Panch Pran’ concept embodies key aims: achieving a developed India, eradicating all forms of bondage, embracing our heritage with pride, fostering unity and solidarity, and nurturing citizens’ sense of duty.

This oath aims to instil a sense of independence in every citizen and ignite a drive to accelerate the nation’s progress. A standardized oath format has been released for administration throughout the state. It’s important to highlight that this 75-week program, commemorating the 75th year of independence, is slated to culminate on August 29-30, 2023, on New Delhi’s Rajpath.

Structure of the Oath

• -I solemnly pledge to contribute to the construction of a developed India, and I am resolute in abolishing the mindset of subservience.
• I commit to cherishing the rich heritage of our land and relentlessly working for its elevation.
• I vow to relentlessly pursue the unity and solidarity of our nation.
• I promise to fulfil my duties and responsibilities towards our homeland with unwavering dedication
• I shall safeguard, honour, and propel the progress of our nation, drawing inspiration from the courageous heroes who sacrificed their lives for our country’s honour.

The soil of every village will be taken to Lucknow and Delhi

As a remarkable gesture of unity, soil from every village is being collected for a special initiative that commemorates the spirit of independence. Scheduled from August 9 to 15, meetings will take place at selected sites such as Amrit Sarovar, Panchayat Bhavan, schools, Martyrs’ Places, Amrit Vatikas, and Community Centres. The ensuing phase, starting August 16 to 20, 2023, will witness the inauguration of the Amrit Yatra.

As part of this initiative, each gram panchayat will contribute an earthen pot carrying soil from the village. These pots will be carefully selected and carried by outstanding participants to state-level and national-level programs held in Lucknow and New Delhi, respectively. During the block-level event from August 16 to 20, two urns collected from villages/gram panchayats will be carried by selected youths to Lucknow and Delhi respectively.

During the main event, earthen pots collected from all the blocks of New Delhi and Lucknow state will be transported using well-equipped vehicles along the designated route in New Delhi from August 27 to 29, 2023, and in the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Lucknow, from August 23 to 24, 2023. These urns will be meticulously gathered as part of the event.

The soil gathered from every corner of the country and the state will serve as the foundation for the development of the Amrit Vatika Garden. Within this garden, a plantation initiative will be carried out, encompassing 75 trees of indigenous species. Moreover, the Amrit Vatika will house a dedicated memorial commemorating all the heroic contributors to the freedom, unity, and integrity of the nation, known as “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

Simultaneously, the state will also witness a series of engaging programs, including Shilaphalakam (Foundation Stone Ceremony), Veeron ka Vandan (Tribute to Heroes), flag hoisting ceremonies, and Vasudha-Vandan (Homage to the Earth).
