‘You reap what you sow’: Captain Amarinder’s sharp jibe at Harish Rawat

Captain’s sarcastic greetings & jibe at Rawat bring to the fore their grudging differences when the duo were negotiating change of power in Punjab.

New Delhi: Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday took a sharp jibe at former fellow and Congress veteran Harish Rawat, after latter shared a cryptic tweet about his political future.

Taking to Twitter, Captain took a swipe at former Uttarakhand CM with famous proverb ‘as you sow, so shall you reap’.

He also extended wishes to Harish Rawat in his future endeavours, amid reports that the latter is contemplating launching a new party just ahead of Uttarakhand Assembly elections.

Harish Rawat, who was in-charge of Punjab during change of power in the state, today sent shockwaves in the Congress high-command with his cryptic tweets. He sought to raise the issue of him being cold-shouldered and ignored ahead of the Assembly elections, apparently by the party high-command.

“Thoughts are circulating in mind whether it’s time to say goodbye & take rest. May Lord Kedarnath show the way,” Rawat tweeted.

Captain’s sarcastic greetings & jibe at Rawat bring to the fore their grudging differences when the duo were negotiating change of power in Punjab.

Harish Rawat was at the helm of party affairs in Punjab, when Captain was forced out of party, following which he also came under severe attack by former Punjab CM. Captain had lambasted the Gandhis and was also unsparing on Rawat, directly holding him responsible for his ignominious exit.

In Uttarakhand, elections are months away and parties have revved up their election machinery with big announcements & rallies by top Delhi leaders.

Rawat’s tweets indicate that he is being left out of Cong’s gameplan despite being the tallest leaders of the state. Rahul Gandhi has been spearheading Congress onslaught on Dhami govt, hoping to snatch power from BJP. Disappointed by party’s ignorance & shunning, Rawat chose to air his grievances and created huge uproar in Congress circles.
