New Delhi: YouTuber Manish Kashyap has surrendered at Jagdishpur police station in Bettiah in the Bihari migrant workers fake news case. He is accused of circulating a misleading and hysterical video of Bihar’s migrant workers in Tamil Nadu being prosecuted. Bihar Police and EOU led raids, following which, the YouTuber surrendered.
In a tweet by Bihar Police said that Manish Kashyap is alleged to spread false, misleading, and hysterical information about the situation of migrant workers in Tamil Nadu and is an accused in the cases registered under the Economic Offences Unit.

Earlier, there was a trail of fake news of migrant workers from Bihar being killed and prosecuted in Tamil Nadu. The state police busted the news and Bihar Police and EOU issued an arrest warrant against Manish Kashyap and Yuvraj Singh Rajput on March 15.
EOU along with Patna and Champaran Police conducted raids at the probable hideouts of Manish Kashyap alias Tripurari Kumar Tiwari. EOU also found financial irregularities by the YouTuber and froze his bank accounts.
Bihar Police also charged him for posting a fake picture of his arrest and spreading misleading information.
The YouTuber runs a YouTube channel named Sach Tak News and EOU found about 30 such videos which were misleading and also created panic among the workers in Tamil Nadu. Aman Kumar from Jamui has also been arrested in connection to the case. The Tamil Nadu Police has also registered 13 cases in the matter.
