New Delhi: Kim Taehyung (V), a member of the top Korean boy band BTS, has been tapped by the French luxury jewellery company Cartier to represent as a new brand ambassador and the face of their Panthere de Cartier campaign. V was picked because he, like the panther, had a fascinating stare and an ingenious mind.

According to WWD, V will be the company’s new worldwide brand ambassador and a picture of him modelling the Panthere line’s feline-inspired clothing has been released to announce his new role. The magazine detailed a fresh picture shoot with V in a red suit jacket, panther tete-a-tete bracelet, diamond sculptural ring, white gold, emerald, onyx, and diamond Panthere de Cartier necklace, and Revelation d’une Panthere watch as part of the debut campaign.

According to Arnaud Carrez, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of Cartier International, “When it came to embodying the magnetism and aura of the panther, our choice naturally fell on V. He has the look and strength of character.”

“A personality whose choices are guided by creativity as a dancer, musician or art lover, with this style and this elegance that belong only to him”, he added.

After V was named a brand ambassador for Cartier and was shown wearing the company’s signature Panther Necklace in 18-karat gold, the item sold out in minutes on the luxury brand’s website.

V posted a photo set to his Instagram account that has the Internet and ARMY’s going crazy. V wears a shirtless red pantsuit and rocks his new blonde hairdo in these photos, which also show some behind-the-scenes looks.

As a Cartier ambassador, V joins other prominent Asian stars including Jisoo (Blackpink), Gong Li, and Jackson Wang (Got7). Cartier’s dedication to diversity and drawing prominent people from throughout the world is further strengthened by his inclusion in this renowned roster. V’s new position highlights not just his considerable impact in the realm of fashion, but also the fact that he is an ambassador for the French luxury fashion house Celine.
