‘Aakhir Wo Din aa Hi Gya’: Netizens start meme marathon as KL Rahul dropped from 3rd Test against Australia

Former Indian player Venkatesh Prasad also found a place in these memes as the decision came after his spat with Indian team management over their decision to keep KL Rahul until now.

New Delhi: KL Rahul has been finally dropped out of the playing eleven for the 3rd test against Australia in Indore’s Holkar stadium. The team’s decision to remove Rahul from the playing XI has rejoiced fans who have been rooting for young opener Shubhman Gill.

Fans have been disappointed with KL Rahul’s poor performance in his three last innings. He managed to score 20, and 17 followed by scoring just 1 run before returning to the pavilion.

Rahul’s Test performance has been exceptionally poor as he failed to score more than 23 runs in his last 10 Test Matches.

Netizens celebrated his exclusions by flooding the microblogging side with memes.

Former Indian player Venkatesh Prasad also found a place in these memes as the decision came after his spat with Indian team management over their decision to keep KL Rahul until now.

Venkatesh Prasad launched back-to-back Twitter attacks on KL Rahul for his poor performance. He also tried to lock horns with Team India’s captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid, whom he accused of favoritism.

He advocated for Shubhman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan as both of them have a much better record as of now.

The spat only grew when former cricketer and announcer Akash Chopra jumped in defence of KL Rahul. However, Chopra’s efforts of defending KL Rahul were ruled out as sycophantic by fans who majorly sided with Venkatesh for calling out BCCI rightfully.

As the news of Rahul’s exclusion from playing eleven arrived, Netizens considered it a win for Venkatesh Prasad.
