New Delhi: The seventh season of the Abu Dhabi T10 league is back, and all 8 teams are ready to fight for the ultimate trophy in the 12-day-long tournament.
The tournament’s first day saw two of the most successful teams, Deccan Gladiators and Northern Warriors, winning their respective matches against New York Strikers and Morrisville Samp Army, respectively.
In both the matches the defending team won as both New York Strikers and Morrisville Samp Army failed to chase down the target set down by the Deccan Gladiators and Northern Warriors respectively.

In the first match, strikers won the toss and elected to bowl first, Gladiators except for Kohler Cadmore (68*), no other batsmen were not able to cross 20 runs mark, however, they still managed to reach a massive total of 118 for 8 in 10 overs.
Chamika Karunaratne was the most successful bowler for the strikers with 3 wickets under his name.

In reply, despite Md. Waseem (26) and Asif Ali (24), strikers were only able to reach 96 runs, giving the match to Gladiators by 22 runs.
In the second match Northern Warriors while batting first with the help of Colin Munro (36) putting a good show, gave the Samp Army an easy total of 104 to chase.

However, despite captain Moeen Ali’s 37 runs-fighting innings the Samp Army could only reach 94 runs and fell short by 9 runs.
Deccan Gladiators and Northern Warriors, with this win, started the tournament at the top of the table, with a lot of shuffling still to come.
