After Babar-Masood controversy, Is there a new rift between Masood-Shaheen?

Shan Masood, the captain of the Pakistan test team seems to have become the new internet sensation after his alleged rift with Shaheen Afridi.

New Delhi: Shan Masood, the captain of the Pakistan test team seems to have become the new internet sensation. After his alleged feud with Babar Azam, a new candidate has been rumoured to be pitted against Masood, Shaheen Afridi. The controversy emerged after a video emerged where the entire team is seen coming together in a hurdle.

Shaheen was standing next to Shan in the team hurdle. Suddenly, it was seen that Shaheen removed Shan’s hands when the latter tried to keep it on Afridi’s hands. The video has sent shockwaves in the dressing room which continues to be reeling from the shock defeat that they faced against Bangladesh.

“There is nothing like that…” Masood clears the air

Although things have gone haywire in Pakistan’s team dressing room, Masood has denied any claims behind such half-baked stories.

When asked to comment on the entire incident that unfolded between Shaheen and Masood, Shan remarked-

There also came a (rumour/misunderstanding) that I kept my hand on Shaheen’s shoulder and he removed it. He wasn’t angry with me, he actually injured his shoulder by Rana’s delivery. I kept my hand at the same injury point…

After this, another incident has come to notice, where a video has come out featuring Shan Masood and Jason Gillespie going into a heated conversation. Masood has given justification to that as well saying-

Then came a (report) that I was fuming at Gillespie. Our second new ball that was 8 overs old went out of the ground after Litton Das hit a six. However, the replacement ball that we got was 18 to 19 overs old. We were saying that we should have been given a new ball rather. I was complaining about that. This is the reason we try to social media less during games
