Ajinkya Rahane’s practice session video goes viral on internet, netizens react (Video)

Rahane who last played the Test match against West Indies earlier this year was seen practicing in nets in the viral video.

New Delhi: The Indian cricket team, who are currently on the tour of South Africa, has been struggling in the test series after domination in the ODI and T20I series and are under the radar of the fans for their selection of playing XI for the series.

Notably, some time ago, the BCCI selection committee dropped seasoned players like Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane from the test team in order to make room for young cricketers for their attacking form of cricket.

However, the fans, after seeing the youngsters’ performance in the first test match against the Proteas, are demanding to bring the duo of Pujara and Rahane back, as they believe their experience can help the team in these difficult moments.

Amidst all the chaos, one half of the duo, Ajinkya Rahane, has found his way into the headlines, as his video of net practice with the red ball, is going viral on the internet.

Rahane posted the video on his X (Formerly known as Twitter) page with the caption, “No rest days.”

Ajinkya Rahane, who made his test debut against Australia on March 22, 2023, in Delhi, has an impressive record in test cricket.

Rahane has amassed a total of 5077 runs in 85 test matches, with an impressive average of 38.46.

Rahane, in his test career, has scored 12 centuries and 26 half-centuries.

Notably, Rahane also holds an interesting record in test cricket as a captain. Rahane has led team India in six test matches so far, in which they won four, while two ended in a draw, making him the only undefeated test captain in India.
