New Delhi: France’s talented and dynamic playmaker Antoine Griezzman has announced his retirement after playing for the French national team. Griezmann won the FIFA World Cup with Les Bleus in 2017. Apart from the World Cup triumph, the French superstar also won the UEFA Nations League in 2021, defeating the Spanish team 2-1. Griezmann made the decision abruptly on Monday to end an illustrious career spanning 10 years.
Griezmann retired after playing 137 times for the national team in which he scored 44 goals. The French superstar is also the third Frenchman in the list of appearances for the French national team.
