Asia Cup 2022: Check time, venue, streaming platform, squads for India vs Pakistan game

India has faced Pakistan 14 times in the Asia Cup and has won 8 times while Pakistan won in 5 matches, with one game ending with no result.

New Delhi: Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will compete against each other in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. Both of the teams are placed in group A and seem to be ready for the high-octane encounter. The fans are excited for the game as both the teams look balanced and will give a tough fight on the field.

India has faced Pakistan 14 times in the Asia Cup and has won 8 times while Pakistan won in 5 matches, with one game ending with no result. A thing to be noted is that earlier the Asia Cup was played in the ODI format, while now it is played in both ODI and T20 format on a rotation basis. This will be the second time for T20 to be part of the tournament. In 2016, when Asia Cup was played in the T20I format, India won comfortably by getting Pakistan all out for 83.

In their last T20I encounter, which happened in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021, India lost to Pakistan after Shaheen Shah Afridi shattered India’s batting lineup and Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan chased comfortably. However, in the past year, India has changed the captain and the strategy and brought in young players to play T20.

Time and venue

The match will take place on August 28, which is a Sunday, at 7:30 pm IST (6 pm local time). The teams will play at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in UAE.

Where to watch?

Star Sports Network is the official broadcaster for the tournament, so the games will be telecasted on Star Sports. Meanwhile, you can also stream the matches live on Disney+Hotstar. PTV and Ten Sports will show the live telecast of the match in Pakistan.
