New Delhi: Hong Kong garnered applause from all over as they put in tremendous efforts in the Asia Cup match against India, despite going down by 40 runs in a high-spirited game held at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday.
Though the result of the quest has been disheartening for the newbie squad, the evening turned into a memorable one for Hong Kong batter Kinchit Shah.
Right after the match, Shah made his way to the stands toward his girlfriend, got down on one knee flashing a ring and bringing up ‘the question’. His girlfriend looked taken aback by this sudden move and was repeatedly heard saying “I can’t believe this”, as Shah waited for her response with a big smile on his face.
She eventually said ‘of course’ with teary eyes while Kinchit happily put the ring on her finger before embracing her in a tight hug.

The clip went viral on social media with cricket lover and netizens lauding the endearing moment and wishing the best for the couple.
Meanwhile, after defeating against India on Wednesday clash, Hong Kong seem to have slim hopes to reach the Super-4 level as it would need to beat much experienced Pakistan in the Group A finals.
