New Delhi: The Indian contingent is showing off their class in the 19th Asian Games 2023, which is being held in Hangzhou, China.
India has already won 22 medals, including 5 gold medals across different events while showcasing their dominance.
India’s first gold medal came from shooting when the Indian shooting trio of Rudrankksh Patil, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, and Divyansh Singh Panwar, secured the top spot in the men’s 10m air rifle team event.
Indian women’s was next in the line when they defeated the Sri Lanka women’s cricket team to win India’s first-ever gold medal in women’s cricket event at the Asian Games in their first-ever attempt.
India’s third gold medal was a historical one when, on the third day of the mega event, the Indian mixed equestrian dressage team won a medal for India in equestrian after 41 years in the Asian Games.
India’s fourth medal came from the Indian shooting trio of Manu Bhaker, Rhythm Sangwan, and Esha Singh, who secured the top spot in the women’s 25m pistol team event.
India won their fifth medal in an iconic manner when Indian star shooter Sift Kaur Samar won the gold in the women’s 50m rifle 3 position event. India’s Ashi Chouksey also won the bronze medal in the same event.
