Athletes from 45 countries across the Asian continents are competing across 45 different events to earn Asian glory.

All the sports giants of the largest continent are trying to make a statement to the world before the Olympics next year.

To no one’s doubt, The People’s Republic of China is once again the leader in the medal tally at the Asian Games 2023 by having a total of 251 medals under their name, which includes 139 gold medals.

Although China is running their own race at the top spot, the race for the second spot is much more interesting.

Japan and the Republic of Korea are playing a tug of war at the second spot.

At the moment, both Japan and Korea have 30 gold medals under their name, but the Japanese pips the Koreans for the second spot, courtesy of their superior silver medal record.

The Indian contingent is also enjoying a great run at the Asian Games 2023 and is currently at the number 4 spot with 56 medals in total, including 13 gold medals.

Chinese Taipei is right behind them at fifth spot with 12 gold medals under their belt.

With only six days to go, India will be looking to stay true to their slogan for the 19th Asian Games, i.e. “Abki Baar, Sau Paar.”
