New Delhi: After a grand success at the Asian Games 2023, India has started their campaign in the Asian Para Games 2023, on a high as they swept the podium in the high jump and club throw F-51 category.
India, just like the Asian Games 2023, has sent their largest ever contingent for the 4th edition of the Asian Para Games, with a total of 303 athletes, including 191 male and 112 female athletes challenging for the Asian glory.
The 4th edition of the Asian Para Games will be 7 days long and scheduled to be played from October 22 to October 28, in Hangzhou, China.
India finished in ninth position in the 2018 Asian Para Games with 72 medals, which included 15 gold medals. The Indian contingent will be looking to better their records, and they have certainly started that way as they have already won 12 medals, including 5 golds.
Earlier, India broke their record of 70 medals at the Asian Games earlier this month by winning 107 medals, including 28 gold medals at the 2023 Asian Games.
