AUS vs PAK, Third Test 2024: Australia with the help of David Warner’s brilliant fifty made quick work of Pakistan, as the former registered an easy 8 wickets win in the third test match in Sydney.

New Delhi: Australian cricket team has been on a dominant run, as they are winning everything that is being thrown at them.

The latest victims of the Aussies rampage are the Pakistani cricket team, who has been clean swept by the baggy green’s in the 3-match test series by 3-0.

Australia completed their perfect run in the series, on the fourth day of the third test, when they chased down the 130 runs target given to them, with eight wickets to spare.

David Warner, who was playing his final test match in baggy green, scored a brilliant 57 runs in his final innings, helping his team to win with ease and finally calling curtains to his illustrious career.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first.

Australian bowlers put early pressure on the Pakistani batters, reducing them to 96 for 5, but Md. Rizwan (88), Aamer Jamal (82) and Agha Salman (53), scored brilliant half-centuries, to take the team total to 313.

Pat Cummins was the Aussie hero in the first innings with his third consecutive five wickets haul.

In reply, Aussies with the help of Marnus Labuschagne (60) and Mitchell Marsh (54), managed to reach 299, despite the lower order collapse.

Aamer Jamal, was the Pakistani hero with ball also in the first innings as he registered an outstanding spell of 6 for 69.

Pakistani batting unit once again collapsed in the second innings, as except for Saim Ayub (33), Babar Azam (23) and Md. Rizwan (28), no other Pakistani batter even touched the 20 runs mark, as the whole innings was packed on just 115 runs.

Josh Hazelwood, was the best bowler for Australia in the second innings with his brilliant spell of 4 for 16.

In chase, with the help of David Warner (57) and Marnus Labuschagne (62*), chased down the 130 runs target with eight wickets to spare.

Sajid Khan was the only successful Pakistani bowler in the second innings, with two wickets under his belt.
